The Nights and Days of Tribades – a prime time week

of lbtq culture in Helsinki

A big thanks to all the artists, volunteers, supporters, and participants for an amazing tenth Tribadic week!

The festival’s anniversary program ventured into new territory, and the events, spanning over ten days, attracted an audience of over 1400 people. A final wrap-up report of the week and its finance will be presented at the upcoming annual meeting of Rivinväli Association, to be held early next year.

Rivinväli and the tribadic workgroup now announce an open call to new cultural activists. At the turn of the decade and at a time marked by an increasing incorporation of lgbtq culture into mainstream awareness, we find it appropriate to drum up new perspectives, topical ideas and fresh recruits to run things. The watchword is that what you put in is what you get out, and about the only thing out of bounds is to seek to promote your own economic interests, in accordance with the law on nonprofit associations.
